A very warm “Shalom” to friends and those that love Israel and the people there. This is the first of what I hope will be regular “Info Briefs” as to both the ministry and the most recent trip to Israel, the 2017 Feast of Tabernacles and the various activities during the time there.
Day One… (October 4th): A trip starts somewhere, and this year it was with a short flight from Phoenix, Sky Harbor to San Francisco. After a short layover and time to visit with TSA and international travel protocol, I left for what became just under 14 hours and 10,000 miles of a non-stop flight directly to Tel Aviv. WIth the time difference, though, I left a 9:15 PM, Wednesday, and arrived 8:30 PM, Thursday, Day Two.
Friday, Day Three, saw my first activities. The Ministry has, for the past three years, partnered with the outreach of a local Jewish relief agency, Noam Eliezer. While there, one of two different events took place, with Rabbi Naki. The Rabbi asked to pray over me and His Hands in Israel, a total blessing in the Lord.
The last activity that day as an almost two hour bus ride from Jerusalem to the area near the Dead Sea. The Ein Gedi Spa is one of the first places where people could go down to the water, take a mud bath, float on the water, and maybe take a swim in the pool or have a massage or other treatment. Then, in the late afternoon, when gates opened for the several thousand Christians gathered for a box meal and preparation for a time of worship and teaching. This night our teacher was Angus Buchan, a well-known evangelist and teacher from South-Africa. The bus ride back into Jerusalem ended our day in the early hours of Saturday in preparation for activities concerning Sukkot or the Feast of Tabernacles, read Zechariah 14:16.
Keep watch till the next post… (till next time) – George
