Today, Prayer and Worship at the Tower of David…

Suddenly, it is Wednesday, and the last day of the ICEJ Feast of Tabernacles, and the last official day of the event, also known as Sukkot.  It is also sometimes spoken of as the Festival of Booths, because it is a celebration to remember when Israel came from Egypt, seeking the Promised Land and their shelters were always very temporary.

The Tower of David stands at the corner of one of the walls of the “old City,” rebuilt by the Ottoman Turks in the 1500’s.  When you enter this structure it is part city wall, part fortress, part a place of worship, as well as a garden.

The pictures today show two different views from within the structure – the three levels of the walls and a second view.  This was a perfect way to end this years’ feast. There was a special time of worship followed by the sharing of several, and finally an invitation to “come up to Jerusalem again… next year.”

While these weeks have been devoted to the Feast, the last several days took place in one of the oldest port cities in the world, notably made famous by Jonah – Joppa.

These final days will help you to see that God is definitely at work in Israel through the prayers, actions and support from UEC – His Hands in Israel. Please visit the website to learn more about a first trip to Israel in 2012, the start of the ministry and so much more.  We covet your thoughts and your prayers and appreciate your help.

Today, the last day at Pais Arena…

A very warm “Shalom” to friends and those that love Israel and the people there.  This is the sixth of what has become a regular “Info Briefs” as to both the ministry and the most recent trip to Israel, the 2017 Feast of Tabernacles and the various activities during the time there… Continue reading “Today, the last day at Pais Arena…”

Field Trip Over We’re Back to the “The Feast”…

We’re back and finally closing out Day Six.  This night another opportunity to bless the Lord in praise and worship and be treated to some additional teaching.  As the worship time ended I found myself on the main level of the Pais Arena, the area where I found myself in the midst of some 33 different vendors and ministries. Now many people might react in various ways… some will take the initiative and try to check out every ministry, and not undaunted, will then attack the vendors to take either something, anything or everything lest they forget a gift promised for someone. Blessings as We Return from Our Field Trip

Imagine a small walk-in closet, maybe 8×10 feet.  A little room made entirely of thick, heavy gauge steel and weighs in a 15,000 lbs.  When rockets are coming their way it’s necessary for the people to pile in these things called (I will tell you in just a minute)…. Blessings as We Enter Chanukah

A very warm “Shalom” to friends and those that love Israel and the people there. This is the first of what I hope will be regular “Info Briefs” as to both the ministry and the most recent trip to Israel, the 2017 Feast of Tabernacles and the various activities during the time there.

Day One… (October 4th): A trip starts somewhere, and this year it was with a short flight from Phoenix, Sky Harbor to San Francisco. After a short layover and time to visit with TSA and international travel protocol, I left for what became just under 14 hours and 10,000 miles of a non-stop flight directly to Tel Aviv. WIth the time difference, though, I left a 9:15 PM, Wednesday, and arrived 8:30 PM, Thursday, Day Two. Continue reading “Blessings as We Enter Chanukah”
